New to the Academy of Engineering, we will offer Computer Integrated Manufacturing (CIM) starting August of 2017.
We would like to thank TOYOTA for their generous grant to make this possible!
Computer Integrated Manufacturing is the manufacturing approach of using computers to control the entire production process.
Manufactured items are part of everyday life, yet most students have not been introduced to the high-tech, innovative nature of modern manufacturing. This course illuminates the opportunities related to understanding manufacturing. At the same time, it teaches students about manufacturing processes, product design, robotics, and automation. Students can earn a virtual manufacturing badge recognized by the National Manufacturing Badge system.
Students will use Benchmill CNC (Computer Numerical Control) Machine to find solutions for industrial CNC milling applications with an emphasis on real industrial concerns, such as optimized programming, accurate milling and increased productivity.
